1940s Make Do and Mend
Friday 14th June 2024 - As part of our 'Back to the 40s' event
Come and join Wild Roots Creative CIC on their first class static carriage at Wirksworth Station for a relaxing craft experience. During the war people would make the most of any scrap materials to make their own jewellery and embellishments. Learn how to use small pieces of fabric and felt to fashion beautiful flowers which can be turned into brooches, added to greetings cards or used to embellish clothing.
Visitors who purchase tickets for this event do not need to purchase event tickets, unless they wish to go on the train too.
