The Countryman's Lunch
Selected Summer Sundays
On arrival you will be greeted by our friendly team who will guide you to your seats and provide you with a complimentary bottle of beer, cider or soft drink and lemonade for your enjoyment. You can then sit back and relax aboard our steam train whilst we serve up a flavoursome two course traditional Ploughman's lunch followed by tea or coffee.

Traditional and Vegetarian Platters available featuring Farmhouse Mature Cheddar, Blue Stilton, Red Leicester, Honey Roast Ham, Pork Pie (or Fiesta Three Cheese Quiche for Vegetarian), Apple, Seedless Grapes, Summer Salad, Local Onion Chutney, Warm Rustic Baguette
followed by Cheesecake of the Day
and to finish
Taylor's of Harrogate tea or coffee with mints
Points to Note
- Tickets are sold in pairs and with the option to add on an additional pair
- We are unable to take bookings for individual passengers at this time.
- Parties of more than four passengers will be split across tables or compartments.
- Each train has capacity for two wheelchairs and two guests.
- We will endeavour to provide a steam locomotive for your journey but occasionally these grand old machines encounter an unexpected mechanical issue which may force us to substitute it for a heritage diesel locomotive.
